- How does your intake process work? 1. Connect with us and provide answers to the initial intake form. 2. Upon reviewing your answers, we will evaluate how we can be helpful. 3. Set up a complimentary 30 minute introductory meeting.
- Why are you providing this service, I’ve never heard of “mental wellness advocacy”? We’ve navigated these spaces for 20+ years and have had the good fortune to work with extraordinary mental, emotional and spiritual practitioners that continue to be overwhelmingly positive. Although some of us have strong support systems, more often than not, the average person is not capable or skillful at witnessing without judgement, reaction or allowing space for processing. Loneliness, a public health crisis, and other forms of mental illness plague our society, and we see evidence of this devastation everyday on the news and social media. Mental, emotional and spiritual health are equally as important as physical fitness. We firmly believe humans are more enjoyable to be around and more impactful when they like and know themselves better. You’re welcome.
- Will you vet for clients who must use in-network services? Yes, but unfortunately, the options will be limited.
- Will you service the LGBTQIA+ community? Yes, absolutely. Full disclosure, we are CIS gendered and advocate for the mental healthy and safety of all marginalized communities.
- Will you service Caucasian clients, or those who are not BIPOC? Yes, absolutely. We are targeting creatives and BIPOC due to firsthand lived experience. Additionally, there is a shortage of BIPOC wellness professionals and these experts may be out of reach to someone beginning their mental health journey simply because they don’t know where to look.
- Are you willing to work on a sliding scale? We will considering working with those who are experiencing financial hardship on a case by case basis.
- Do you plan to provide psychotherapy services in the future? No.
- What forms of payment do you accept? Zelle, Venmo or PayPal. No insurance.
- What is your cancellation policy? We have a 24 hour cancellation fee.
- What is the benefit of working with a mental wellness advocate? There are those who remain adverse to psychotherapy for various reasons (e.g. social taboos, pride, shame, embarrassment). We live in a lonely, isolated society and sadly, many don’t feel safe to be emotionally vulnerable with friends, family, mentors or a partner. Speaking with a trustworthy confidante lightens your emotional burden, it’s the first actionable step to healing that provides much-needed connection and hope to lead to improved mental health, interconnection with others, and ease within yourself.
